Engine, Sensor Location - Volvo A60H

Introduction

Engine six-cylinder segaris, four-stroke, direct-injected diesel engine. Memiliki empat valve per cylinder dan single overhead camshaft. Engine D13F dan D16F dilengkapi dengan single turbocharger beserta wastegate dan engine D11F memiliki turbocharger tanpa wastegate. Engine dilengkapi pula dengan engine brake, VEB+ (Exhaust Pressure Governor danVolvo Compression Brake). 

Ini menggambarkan sensor yang terdapat pada engine. Pada beberapa versi engine, letak dan jumlahnya dapat berbeda.

Engine protection
E-ECU didesain memiliki fungsi untuk melindungi engine dari kerusakan selama beroperasi dengan extreme condition atau kerusakan yang lebih parah ketika engine component mengalami kegagalan atau kerusakan. Komponen yang dapat meminta mode engine protection adalah :
  • High coolant temperature
  • High inlet manifold air temperature
  • High oil temperature
  • Low oil pressure
  • Low coolant level
  • High crankcase pressure
  • High compressor charge-air temperature (calculated)
  • High E-ECU temperature
  • High Altitude (ensures that high compressor charge-air temperature is never reached)
